With the advent of the Digital switch over from ANALOGUE TO DIGITAL Broadcasting, Nigeria is gradually becoming the fastest and biggest television market in the world. This switchover will, in turn, create a lot of job opportunities for our teeming youths both graduates and non-graduates that are currently jobless.
During the launch of the Digital Switch Over (DSO) in Abuja the Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed expressed confidence that within three (3) years of the digital transition, one million jobs will be created in the development of television content, technical services, software development, as well as the installation and repair of Set-Top-Boxes for over 24 million TV households, among others. Great potential for employment to meet with the ever-growing demand for Set-Top-Boxes (Decoders), satellite engineers/technicians, we are likely to record a positive turn-out in the rate of employment.
We currently hold a monthly training program for prospective satellite technicians seeking to make a profession in the satellite industry. We have provided training to over twenty thousand (20,000) youths male and female, old and young from different states including the FCT Abuja. The training provides participants the opportunity of acquiring skills in the multimedia and communication industry and ultimately of becoming self-employed.
